INTERLINKED|LOST| EXHIBITION
Climate Action Exhibition featuring a collection of 18 #LitterCUBES made from thousands of pieces of beach litter plastic, collected by artist, Julia Barton and hundreds of project volunteers in the coastal communities of Eyemouth, Dunbar, Arbroath, Ullapool and Shetland. Each #LitterCUBE was stitched and woven together. This exhibition graphically shows the fossil fuel energy that Marine Plastic Litter and Single Use Plastic represents and aims to show how plastic pollution directly contributes to our Climate Crisis. Julia’s looped film projection illustrates the dripping away of 259 litres of oil which represents the energy embodied in the #LitterCUBES.
Summerhall and ASCUS Art & Science are proud to present LOST as part of Interlinked, a series of contemporary art exhibitions part of the Edinburgh Science Festival.
