Future proof|post-Industrial Ecologies| EXHIBITION
Interlinking, multimedia installations by Dawn Felicia Knox exploring the way plants and fungi work together to undo the toxic residue of industrialisation. Moving through deep time into the mycorrhizal remediating present, the work investigates 320 million years on one plot of land. The site, a coalmine during the industrial revolution, is a contaminated brownfield yet through the entanglement of plants and fungi it has become a vibrant ecosystem. Dawn’s work digs through the layers of time to unearth the architecture of bioremediation knitting together in our wastelands.
